Chinese  Coca Cola Wings

Cooking steps

  1. Cut chicken wings into two parts, keep the wing tips intact.

  2. Blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes to remove any blood and fat. Drain well.

  3. Heat some oil in wok (or pan), add ginger and chicken wings, then fries them until both sides are turned to slight yellow.

  4. Pour in the seasoning and coke. Bring to a boil and continue to cook for 20 to 25 minutes, uncovered, or until sauce thickens and chicken wings are carmeralized.

*If you like spicy taste, you could add chili with ginger in step 3.

*Remember to taste by yourself while cooking in step 4. If you’re satisfied, it’s done.

Coca cola, one of my favorite drinks, I do not remember when coca cola becomes a sauce of cooking in China, but the fact is that Coca Cola is quite popular in China nowadays. And since coca cola chicken wings become popular, the slight sweet taste bought by the drink can spare other condiments and seasoning, which makes this as one of the simplest recipe.
